Can anyone help me?

I'm trying to set up my two email accounts on Mail on my new Retina MBP with Mountain Lion.

Both accounts are POP and one has been set up fine (although I can't email out, it only receives).

The problem for my second account is that when using the add account window it automatically finds my account but seems to think it's IMAP and then doesn't give me the chance to correct that to POP.

The account isn't IMAP, it's definitely POP and so Mail won't receive with it being set to IMAP.

Mail lets me manually enter every other detail but not the option to change from IMAP to POP. Any ideas?

What is the email provider?

One problem I've encountered is that Apple's automatic email setter upper will assume IMAP if your address sends it to a provider that has IMAP.

Get around this by entering a bogus address; it'll try to set it up, fail, and then give you the ability to correct and enter values manually.
