This is a minor ongoing annoyance. From my desktop computer (an old Mac Pro running Mac OS 10.13.3), I often play streaming tv or podcasts that are accessed via web browsers (most often Chrome, but this problem exists with Safari and Firefox, as well), and I send the audio to a stereo system attached to an airport express via Air Play. The problem is that the volume of the Air Play signal is set to a very low level, and I need to manually raise it (with the volume slider in the menu bar) every time I switch to the Air Play device. This volume issue does not apply when sending to the same device via itunes, or when sending the same browser signals via my ipad. In iTunes, the volume setting for the device is set to the max position, but that seems to have no effect on the volume in the situation I've described. This problem just showed up at some point (maybe when there was a system update, I'm not sure); this was not always the case. How I can adjust the volume default that kicks in when I send audio that is coming in via a web browser?
