Hi,

I've enabled shared folders in Parallels 10 on a mac 10.9.5, added a custom folder in "Share Mac" that is on my desktop, unchecked "Isolate mac from virtual machine", set up "Finder"(on VM) to show all disks .... but for the life of me cannot get access to the shared folder on my virtual machine(yosemite install off restore partition on mac)

I just want to copy some files from my desktop to the virtual machine.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? It is driving me crazy. Looked at Paralle;s manuals and they are no help.

Figured it out. had to install Parallels tools.

That's generally the case. You can also use dropbox/OneDrive/etc for file synchronizations as well. I use a combination of both. I have OneDrive for files that I share across my computers and drag/drop for quick access to some files.
