when i type SU
it required to put in the password.. as the default one is "alpine"
but when i type "alpine" it says password incorrect..

so i try to change the password with "passwd" command and i can change the password from "alpine" to "alpine123"..

I found a tutorial on changing your iOS ssh password, but it still says the default is "alpine". Perhaps yours is already something else so you should already be protected from whatever exploits rely on "alpine" as the default password.

I guess this is the reason I never got around to jailbreaking. I never wanted to assume responsibility for keeping all the flotsam and jetsam off my iPhone and the few tweaks I could get by j/b-ing were nothing but eye candy (to me).
