Can't sign in to Apple ID e-mail

Title says it all. My Apple ID (the one connected to my iPod Touch, at least) is connected with an e-mail I set up a LONG time ago and now, I find that I can't sign in to this old, old hotmail account. Don't know if I forgot the password or deleted it a while back, but now, I can't validate a "confirmation e-mail" that iTunes wants to send me.

Any help?
