After upgrading to Catalina, I signed out of iCloud because of the constant prompts. Now I can't sign back in. I enter my email and password and the sign in screen just sits there spinning.

It looks like it logs me into the store, but the screen never changes.

I've signed out, restarted, reinstalled Catalina. Any ideas/help?

EDIT: got a little farther. Removed my iMac from my Apple account and that at least prompted my other devices to 2FA when signing in. Still stuck at spinning on the iCloud sign-in.

I've got the same thing going on. I did the same thing you did, and still, it won't sign in. No error message or anything.

If I put in the wrong password it tells me that, but won't complete the sign in with a correct one.

I'm having a strange problem where I can't sign in to the App Store with my account. It just keeps saying the iCloud password is wrong, even though it isn't.

I'm able to sign in to iCloud on the web, on iOS devices etc so I know there's nothing wrong with the account and I know my password is correct. Any ideas?

I had the same issue (with a 2015 iMac and a 2019 iMac) and eventually just signed out, restarted both iMacs and then signed back in and EVENTUALLY everything worked. Annoying because it then had to reset/reload my Music library and the Photos Library (going through the Upload again, which fortunately only took overnight). Good luck - it does work eventually.

Opened new TV app, signed in, asked me to sign in to ... iTunes? what the ff is this ? Cancel and shows I’m logged in. Another issue. And we’re asked to use Apple ID sign in everywhere? Really Apple?
