Hi,

I recently switched from a pc to a mac. I decided to put all my photos in iPhoto. I already had an iPhone but I used to take them off my phone and store them on my pc, when I bought a bigger iCloud I stopped doing that.

Now those old photos uploaded into the 'film role' (I dont know its exact English name) on my Mac and my iPhone. I got 90% of my phone by using photostream and turning off iCloud sharing (I assume my phone still uploads to my Mac right?). But those older photos got into my Mac's 'film role'. So right now I got photos from april the second 2016, then hundreds of photos from 2013 and 2014, and then back to april the third 2016. My ' events' sort the photos in the right order, but the 'film role' doesnt, even while the metadata is fine. Messing with the sort options in the menu wont help. How do I get the photos to sort by date in 'film role' as well?

And is there any way so that photos I make with my iPhone get uploaded to my Mac, but not the other way around? (I can start to delete photos from my phone). And how does it work with externally storaged photos? Since they take up so much space I am thinking about taking an HDD and putting all the photos on it.

The iPhone did the same, I got old photos on it, right between my recent ones in the 'film role'. I there anyway I can sort the filmrole as well? I know events is there, but when I want to upload a photo on facebook it can only take to filmrole and other albums, not events. That's why I want to have the filmrole chronologically ordered.

In sort: I want to neatly organise my photos so everything is in the right order of date, how do I do that?

Sorry for my bad English and thanks in advance.
