iPad mini Can't stream in full screen on new iPad mini

I used to have an iPad mini 5 where I used this to connect to tv and have it on the tv, it was full screen.

Since getting the new iPad mini, I got this now to connect to the tv but it's not full screen, it's much smaller and surrounded by a large black area. Why can't I stream full screen on the new iPad?

Perhaps you need to adjust your TV’s overscan settings. Or perhaps your TV has a zoom setting?
