I have a brand new iphone4. The first time I plugged it in tothe computer via cable it synced fine. I was able to put in music etc.Nowthough, it recognizes the device since it shows it under Devices, but I cantadd anything to it. It just opens a screen saying “set up your iphone, thiscomputer has previously been synced with an iphone or another ios device”. WhenI try to restore from the backup, it gives me an error message “itunes couldnot restore the iphone because a session could not be started with the iphone”.I also got someother weird x08……. Message which I cant remember now. Only whenI actually set up another iphone does star tto sync, but then it comes up with an error saying "this iphone could not be synced. an internal device error occurd". When I press ok it says "the required file cannot be found". Help?

BTW, when I do a reset on the iphone (erase all cnotent and settings) I am once again able to put stuff onthe Ipod and it will sync ok the first time. Then it messes up again by giving me some error during syncing the 2nd time around and then it wont do it anymore. I tried this a few times to see if I am doing something incorrectly but every time same thing happens.

I have itunes 10.3.0.54. ios 4.3.3 on my iphone.

When I set up a new iphone, it syncs "fine" and then says iphone sync is complete ok to disconnect, but when I try to add anything or edit anything (like am song title), itunes just does a temporary freeze and then a little "error" image appears by the song on the very left side of itunes. i cant play anything from the iphone either because if I double click on it the same error sign appears.

I ran the diagnostics of the device in itunes and it said all was fine. After the check though, it came up with the "iphone cannot be synced. an internal device error occured".

I have itunes 10.3.0.54. ios 4.3.3 on my iphone. I already tried reintsalling itunes. also, when I do a complete reset or wipe on the iphone, it seemsl ike it starts to work again, but only up to a certain point, like before. After putting in a bunch of music it comes up with an error while syncing like some of the ones i posted above. then when i disconnect and reconnect, it goes back to the same multiple devices problem.

Ive also got no clue what jailbreaking or tethered means. I just bought this iphone from a legit store, without a sim card. Just the phone. I cut the sym card to fit the phone and it worked fine in the sense that i can use the phone on its own.

the issue got a lot simpler now:
have a brand new iphone 4. didnt buy it with a sim card. bought it from a legit store. had to cut out the sim card to fit the phone and its ok.

had trouble syncing after the 1st time that it was successful. got a bunch of error mesages. In Itunes it told me to restore. I restored it. Now it wont sync and it just gives me 2 error messages:

First is Iphone cannot be synced because the file could not be found, and the second one after that is that there is an internal device error.
