Can't sync VLC player on new ipad

Hey all!
So ofcourse im enjoying my new ipad! im having an issue tho, i cant sync the VLC player that is no longer available in the apps store. When i select it on itunes to sync.. it completes in itunes but then on the ipad it says "fail to sync VLC player"
I had it in my ipad 2.. what can i do to put it back on? thanks

I've synced my copy of VLC to my new iPad successfully from my iPad 1.

I too had to sync it a couple of times before it took.
But then it took and now it's working fine.

It synced fine for me, but I don't think I'll have any luck getting it to work. I was getting a 'your iPad is not powerful enough' message when trying to play a film. I'm not sure the app will support the new iPad anymore.

Thats strange. I'll sync mine a lil later and report back ASAIC.

This is a movie you played in VLC on your previous iPad right? What video format is it?

It's .mkv format, 1920x816 so not massively big. I haven't had an iPad before, so can't compare that, but I'll try some other movies and see what happens with them too.
