Can't transfer music from iTunes on old iBook G4 to iPhone

I have an old iBook G4, running 10.4.11. I have all my music in iTunes 9.2.1 on the iBook which I really want to transfer to my iPhone (running iOs 4.0.2).

Any idea how I can do this? Is there any other software/ apps that would help?The iBook doesn't recognise my iPhone.

Mac OS 10.5.8 is needed to sync with an iOS 4.0 or higher device. You'll have to update your iBook to Leopard before it'll work.
