Can't transition in FCPX

Im editing a montage, and for some reason I cannot add a transition from the last clip to the title credit. When I try to transition anything else, it works fine and shows me that little grey bar to add between clips and titles...just not between the last clip and credits title. Any ideas on why this is happening? FCPX did shut down on me at the end of my montage, which made me have to do a good portion of it over again, could this be the issue?

And I have tried deleting and reloading the ending, doesn't seem to work.

It may be that you didn't leave enough of a handle for the last clip to be able to transition. Try shaving off three seconds at the end of the last clip and then apply the transition.

What you can do it transition to a black generator (or any generator for that matter) with a title layered on top of it very easily.

You can certainly transition to titles in the primary storyline in FCP X.
