Can't turn my phone on!

I used the sleep button/menu button combo to restart it. The apple icon comes up for a little bit and then it completely blacks out. What do I do?

Try pressing the home and sleep button (at the same time) to get it to reboot then. Hold both until it retarts.

Edit: And I assume your phone is charged?

Yeah I left it on the charger all night. And I just tried that and it's still just going back to the blacked out screen. It's teasing me.

Okay, well let's try a DFU restore. Read this link and follow the directions exactly.
