Do you have anything connected to your computer via Bluetooth?

No I have my magic mouse and keyboard turned off.

Sorry, I don't really have any suggestions :(

It seems like it's something to do with the input devices you use with Bluetooth, and the settings to do with that.

I'm at work and it still won't let me turn off bluetooth.

Can anybody offer any assistance. Having bluetooth on is really killing my battery.

Did you try a reboot with both peripherals off? It probably hasn't recognized that they are off yet.

EDIT: I used to have a really weird issue where my bluetooth mouse would be off, and the trackpad wouldn't come back for a minute because the computer didn't know the mouse had been disconnected.

yeah i tried reboots with them off and then without any batteries. neither has worked. I even deleted the profiles to see if that would work. still nothing. Anybody know what is happening. I never noticed it till recently. My computer has been docked to a desk for almost 3 weeks and i was on vacation beofre that so I have no idea how long it has been doing this.

If I can't get any answers then hopefully the apple store will be able to help me.

Yeah, probably. Sorry, I don't have that much experience with Bluetooth devices. Normally I don't use Bluetooth on my Mac.

I ended up having to do an archive and install. I think my issues started when I installed the Magic Trackpad update. I'm not completely sure but I think that was my issue.
