iPod touch Can't turn off WiFi?!

I just saw on G4Tv that you can't turn off WiFi?! Please tell me G4 is wrong.

Wi-Fi settings determine when and how iPod touch joins a Wi-Fi network.

Turn Wi-Fi on or off
Choose Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on or off.

It doesn't, but turning WiFi off is the same thing.

iPhone has an "Airplane Mode" because it has WiFi, BlueTooth, and the cell radio...makes it easy to turn all of those off at once.
