Can't uninstall app

I installed an app from Safari, and not from the App Store, and I can't uninstall it. It says the name of the app, with the "grid" logo and an empty progress bar. I can't get rid of it. Any ideas?

no luck. even reinstalled the beta and it's still there, not installed.

Every time the app store updates an app I get the blank grid app with the update progress bar. Not doing me any harm so I just leave it there, I assume it will get fixed eventually.
