can't uninstall sophos from mac

I've been trying for a while to delete Sophos from my mac but despite running the uninstall package it just will not delete.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

Thanks for the post. Slowly getting there but can't get the plus (+) button to work. At the moment it's a greyed out (-).

Follow step one of those instructions, then restart Your Mac.

Sophos is a virus in my book and never even considered installing it.
