so i opened terminal and typed: $ sudo <Xcode>/Library/uninstall-devtools --mode=all

but terminal says no such file found

that exactly what it says to type in terminal to uinstall xcode in the Xcode Manual.

i instralled xcode 4.1 just to test it out and i want to uninstall it. how do i do it guys?

It also says that <Xcode> needs to be replaced with the actual directory that you installed it into. It might just be /Developer/, or /Developer/Xcode/, I forget 'cause I don't have it installed right now. Spotlight could probably find the uninstall file for you.

There is a "developer" folder in Macintosh hd and within that is Xcode. So what should I change the command to ?

Btw, there is no uninstaller file, this is the only way I think.

so i opened terminal and typed in sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools --mode=all

then it says enter password and when i click any digit on my keyboard it doesnt enter it in terminal, so i cant enter my password to continue, what do i do?

thanks alot guys for the help, i uninstalled it. ;) i really have no use of it, i thought it was going to be stright forward but its too difficult for me.

I also found it to be pretty rubbish for me

I installed it and it was the only app i ran in 2 days of using my new mba that turned the fans on whilst installing it.

Wasn't for me and i just went to the dev folder in terminal and installed it, same as you did after about 10 minutes.

Perhaps some people have a use for it, maybe the iphone apps or something.

yea man its not for me ,

did u hear about Game Salad? looks pretty interesting.
