Can't unlock iPhone 4s locked to Verizon cdma

I have tried several ways to unlock this phone, I need to use it on GSM in Australia. I have now got a r-sim 5 ultra s which is supposed to unlock CDMA. I have followed several different instructions and nothing works, just tells me that sim can't be recognized, I'm feeling very frustrated and out of options left. Please can someone that knows what to do please help me

And yes it does unlock the CDMA 4S on 5.1.1
If you have the same gevey and doesnt work then most likelly the gevey is defective.
