I struggle to update my iPhone SE to the latest iOS version. Here is why:
Trying to directly update on the iphone leads to the message "UNABLE TO INSTALL UPDATE An error occured installing iOS13.4.1". (With the firmware file downloaded I have 2 GB of memory available and I have followed the instructions here https://www.***************/unable-...e-xs-max-iphone-x-iphone-8-8-plus-6s-6s-plus/ without success )
Trying the update with iTunes (I use OS X 10.14.2 and iTunes 12.9.2.5) leads to the error message that the"firmware file is not compatible". It looks like in such a case it is suggested to update "to the latest iTunes version". However this means changing to Catalina which is what I do not want to do. My wifes Mac runs on Catalia and the "replacement" of iTunes is horrible: Not what I what. I just want to update my iPhone.
