i just copied my itunes library from my imac (snow lep) to my new mini(lion). when i went to launch itunes i got a message stating that "itunes librar.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of itunes". true, but here's the thing- when i try to update, it says that i am already up to date. this is not true though because the mini is running itunes 10.5.3, and my imac's itunes is on v 10.6.3. what gives?

Shut down iTunes.

In the Finder on your mini, go to ~/Music/iTunes. Rename the iTunes Library.itl file to iTunes Library.OLD. Find the most recent iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD.itl file in the Previous iTunes Library folder. Copy that to the ~/Music/iTunes folder and rename it as iTunes Library.itl.

Start iTunes.
