can't update my mac

hello everyone

i'm having some problems with my mac, every time i update my osx from 10.5 to 10.5.5, first it downloads it then when it installs it it stop at configuring installation and the installation does not complete.

i called my apple dealer and he told me to download it manually throuth the web site from apple.com/download, but every time when the download finish i try to open it it give this message "the following disk image failed to mount reason -4960"

so what should i do

Try downloading and installing 10.5 Combo Update
