Can’t update Watch OS

I keep trying to update my watch but the app on the phone says unable to verify because I am not connected to the internet which I obviously am. And curiously it still wants me to update to 3.1.3.
Any advice?

I am having the same problem with mine. I tried the normal with regards to reboots and restarts. I am now trying to uninstall my non-apple apps to see what happens.

Is your phone on iOS 11? The phone needs to be on iOS 11 before you can upgrade the watch to watchOS 4

Yes...I updated to iOS 11 and then was able to download the 4.0 update but then I get the Internet/verify error.

Okay...I deleted a good number of my non-Apple watch apps and it seems to have done the trick. I was able to update to v4.0 (very slowly). I installed my main apps like Forecast Bar and it is working okay. Luckily, I did not lose my year-long move streak!
