Can’t update WatchOS

Ive been trying to update my S3 and keep running into this error on my iPhone. It’s telling me that in order to update the watch i must first update the phone. Both devices are on the beta channels and the phone is running the latest beta. Ive never had this issue before. Can anyone tell me how to fix it.

I have that on my watch too, but I am currently in the process of updating my phone to 12.2. I will try again when the phone has the latest beta.

I got the same message...checked for phone update, had one, installed it, and then was able to begin update on watch.

Try deleting the beta profile on your iPhone, restart and then try updating your watch again.

I tried deleting the profile i think the issue is that my phone is on the public beta channel and the watch is still on the developer channel thus the watch is higher than the phone. I’m going to wait to see if 12.2 fixes the issue.
