So I helped my friend setup Windows XP via Bootcamp thru text messages. Everything went great up until Windows was all installed. The mouse could not be read but the keyboard was still functionable (everything except the arrows anyways). Both are wireless keyboards from Apple. It's a recent iMac purchase of maybe a month or two ago. Alright so, using the shortcut keys he was able to eject the Windows XP CD and insert the Mac OS X CD that came with his computer in order to install the BootCamp drivers necessary for Windows to function fully. Once that completed, Windows could no longer read the keyboard AND mouse. Why is this? And what can I do to resolve this issue. (I installed BootCamp on my Mac Mini once and ran into the same issue but I was lucky enough to have a spare wired keyboard and mouse to setup the wireless keyboard/mouse from Apple in Windows Vista. My friend isn't as lucky.)
