Hi, I've been trying to recover pages from various caches for a forum that I used to frequent, which went suddenly dead on January 1. (It's a long story.) Since the key point of this forum was to post download links, and since the links are still good if people knew where they were, it's important to have this information. (Also, I had computer problems [see my previous posts about my late, not-so-lamented G5], and had only just gotten back online with my new MacBook Pro in mid-December, so I was trying to catch up.)

The good news is that most of the pages were readily available in Google cache, and I saved them. Only a few hadn't been crawled just prior to 1/1, and didn't have good Google cache versions around. And, just yesterday, I discovered that other search engines (Bing, for example) might still have those available.

However, while I have found page 444 of the thread in Bing's cache, I'm having a problem viewing it. Here, take a look:

http://cc.bingj.com/cache.aspx?q=2c...lang=en-US&w=rO1Sg6j8z2en2Ndu5GiljCE0GwmqNSeF

I'm on a MacBook Pro, as stated, using Mavericks, and viewing this page in both Safari and Opera. Now, you may note that this should be the complete (cached) page 444; the links to 445 and 446 are at the top of the page, so it was crawled well after 444 was completed and the thread had moved on. (Indeed, it was crawled right on 1/1, just as the hammer fell and we were all the way up to page 454. If they'd given us even 24 hours' notice…sigh. But anyway.)

Yet, frustratingly, it cuts off right in the middle of post 8872, with most of that post's links unavailable for recovery. I tried changing the font-size, but that didn't help; my scroll bar still only scrolls partway down the page and reaches the end when there still should 8 (and a half) posts left to view (8873-8880, as well as the complete 8872).

And yes, we're all very bad boys and the NFL would not approve, I know. But I haven't seen this Raiders game in 29 years, so I'd really like to figure out how to see the whole page and get all the links.

Thoughts?

(Also, if anyone has a way to view the page that isn't necessarily workable on my Pro [I can't imagine why, but just in case], a text document of complete page would serve my purposes just fine. Thanks in advance.)
