Cant view PDF's on iPad 2

Ive got some pdf's on my windows PC id like to read on my ipad 2. Ive synched them as books and they seem to go over fine but I cant find them on my ipad at all. According to apple support they should just show up in iBooks but they dont.

ios5.0.1 and all apps up to date.

Any ideas?

From the iBooks library screen, look at the top for the button that says "Books", tap on it and change to the PDFs collection. They should be there.
