I normally wouldn't do this, but I have to say something! I'll be getting my new iMac Thursday, and it will be replacing my old iMac, which is a Mid-2006 model, my first Mac :(. I'ts been 2 years since I got a new computer, and with the Back to School deal, I'll be replacing my 4GB iPhone with the 16GB iPod Touch! :D I'm so excited!

I know most of you won't care, but I just had to say it :)

I know how you feel!

I'll be ordering my 24" iMac by the end of the month and the wait is killing me. This will replace my PowerBook thats about 5 years old.

Question - can I custom config an iMac at the Apple Store?

Some Apple stores only have the base options, some have a few extra configurations. The one in Indianapolis does for sure, but I don't know about every single one in the world... Call ahead and see if they have what you're looking for. If you're wanting a custom config ram amount, don't buy from Apple. Do it yourself and save lots of money.

Yeah, I would get the new iPhone, but I'm on Alltel (Now Verizon) until May '09. Plus, why not get the iPod? It's only $99 :cool:
