My Mac has been behaving really strangely.

Whenever it restarts it refuses to let me write small 'os' or capital 'Ls' (only with the shift button, I can write a capital L with the caps lock on).

The problem fixes itself after a few minutes and those are the only two affected letters. It's now happened twice, in all applications used (Mail, Word, Firefox).

Any ideas at all?

Thanks for anyone's help.

Thanks for the fast reply. As it happens, I have created one yesterday, and thank god for that as otherwise I would have been unable to login, my password had an 'o' and an 'l' in it!

Unfortunately the problem persists.

OK, boot from your install DVD and then open Terminal from the Utilities menu. See whether the problem happens there too.

Edit: Also, try rebooting with Cmd-Opt-P-R held down at the chime. Keep holding them until it chimes three times.

I've held Cmd-Opt-P-R and it seemed to have worked! I hope it's permanent...

Thanks a lot for your help!!!:):):):):):)
