So ive got a weird problem here. I was installing all the new updates for my computer (MBP running leopard) and I was away from the computer for a while after allowing it to restart. When I came back it was at the startup screen and a window was up saying something about updating the caches. The computer was unresponsive so i had to turn it off and restart, and now my num lock and caps lock buttons have to be turned on in order to be turned off. how the hell did that happen and how the hell do i fix it?

it happened to my girlfriend's macbook when she updated to leopard as well. for her, we restarted it and allowed it to update the boot caches and it went away.
