Caps lock key hard to press

Hi all,

I have a 2012 Macbook Pro 13 which has a caps lock key that is pretty inconsistent. The feel of the key is ok, but it only activates the button some of the time. I've had a quick look under and doesn't seem too dirty, but maybe.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

You just have to hold it down for a moment.
