So I noticed my MBP's Caps Lock key is acting weird.
If I tap any other key it registers...if I tap my Caps Lock key it doesn't.
I don't have to hold it down to get it to work or anything but I do need to give it a good tap for it to register...is this normal? I attached a video.

EDIT - I made another video to show people (since there weren't many on YouTube).

After seeing your video I tested my keyboard, lol, lol,
Well, the contact could be out of balance. I have the same problem on my regular :apple: keyboard for 27" iMac. If I hit it to the right facing the keyboard it behaves like yours but works fine in center.

RFlush,

I was reading that it was a built in feature?
If it's not on and you tap it, it won't turn on. You have to give it a good push.
But if it's on and you tap it, it will turn off.

Supposedly it's supposed to help you not turn it on by accident when using the A button of Shift button.

Is this true?

I think it's a "feature"
I notice this before I even read this thread, on my unibody 2010 MacBook Pro. It feels like you have to hit an area somewhat on the left side of the key for it to register. I later spilled glasses cleaner all over the computer and the keyboard (along with a ton of other parts) had to be replaced by an Apple-authorized retailer.

The new keyboard did the same thing. It's not a problem, it seems to be the way Apple wanted them to be.

Now that I try this, I notice it too. Although, it seems to be the same way with all the other keys. Usually I press the caps lock key like any other key, not just tap it real quick.

I just added a video to the original link.
Watch and let me know if yours is like this too!

Mine does that, it's a feature. It's pretty useful if you type a lot without looking at the keyboard. That way it's a lot more difficult to turn it on unintentionally.

mine turns on to the touch of a feather. my fingerS DO A NUMBER ON IT.

:]

but srsly i don't have this problem or "feature" heh.
