Hi,

I have a VHS video which is in Pal and I have recently purchased a VCR which can play NTSC and Pal video. I would like to capture the movie into my hard drive and edit it myself. I am thinking about purchasing Pinnacle Capture for Mac to help me capture video from VCR to my computer.

I do know that in order for me to watch my movie on TV, I will need to buy a converter. My question is, Do I need pal/ntsc converter even when I am capturing the Video straight to my computer.

Please advise on what is the best way for me to capture my movie which is in Pal format to my computer with the best video quality.

Thanks in advance

It shouldn't matter. Your Mac will be able to capture both NTSC and PAL without an issue (and, as I recall, iDVD will be able to convert from NTSC to PAL in the burning stage).
