i was wondering if there is a way to take a still from a video in imovie. I'm kind of half way there: I managed to freeze a single frame, but I can't see how to turn it into a photo. I thought maybe I could do it in iphoto but it seems downright impossible to do in that program. thanks :apple:

I don't use iMovie, but did you check the Help files?

In FCE/FCP it's a rather simple process ... I can't imagine that iMovie would be difficult.

Just hold your mouse over the still frame in the clip that you want to use as a photo in your project. Select the "Add Still Frame to Project" option. It should be the last one in the pop-up menu. The frame will appear as a photo in your project. You can then move it around, set the duration, etc. If you don't have a 2 button mouse, you can control/click.
