So i do development on ethernet chips and occasionally I need to capture output of our processor to a text file for debugging purposes.

I'm in the process of dumping a Windows box and while I've figured out how to view the output using the command prompt 'screen' but it lets me view, but doesn't let me log & view.

Typically I'd use putty, but after googling I see everyone response with 'use the terminal you retard' yet near as I can tell mini com isn't part of OS X and screen doesn't log to a file (obviously, maybe it does)

Any command line gurus able to give me a hint of where to look? I tried iTerm but it appears to be SSH/SFTP only.
