Capturing audio from videos?

I want to know how I can capture the audio from a video only using a macbook. The reason for this is because i want to burn a cd.

If the video is in Quick Time, simply mute the video portion, or export as a WAV file.

From another source, connect just the audio of a TV or other source to the computer and use QuickTime or audacity to record the audio.
