Capturing HDV in Premiere 6.5

I know, I know...I use FCP at home, but I'm working on a school project and I HAVE to use Prem 6.5

I'm using a Sony HVR-Z1P

So my question is: How do I capture my HDV footage in Prem 6.5. I'm aware I'll need to down convert to SD but I need to know what capture settings to use in Prem i.e. what compressor to use etc. And also how can I get true 16x9, what frame size do I need to set.

Any help is much appreciated. I'll be editing on a eMac 1.25ghz on 512mb.
