Capturing HDV

Hi,

How long should it take a macbook to capture about 50 mins of HDV? I appreciate the capture lags behind the tape a bit (~30%) but i've left it going for about 2 hours now and it still says just 57% complete?

Shall i just leave it going all afternoon?

Any help appreciated, cheers

PS - using Final Cut Express HD 3.5

i think it stalled.

I'm now trying to capture in 10min chunks and saving between each capture.

I think FCE has some problems throwing HDV through a not exactly high powered machine...
