Capturing Streaming WMV then converting the files?

I have pulled out nearly all my hair over this. I can't seem to convert a WMV file into a usable file for FCE. I pulled the stream from the net with XP, burnt it to CD, attempted to convert it with VisualHub and the quality is disgusting. choppy, and unusable.

The project is due at the end of the week. These files are the only thing I need to finish.

Is there a SIMPLE method to take a streaming WMV file and convert into something usable?

Also, if someone wants to do it for me, then I'll send them a $25 American Express gift card I got yesterday and don't really need.

This might not solve everything, but have you downloaded the Windows media components for quicktime? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...4D-D747-4180-A400-5F06B1B5E559&displaylang=en It might help and it might not. I'm haven't done much with streaming wmv for a while so i might not be of much help.

That's not working.. it may be because I'm not doing it right, but I'm not sure.

I'll click on the view icon on the right-hand side, view the source of the pop-up box, and select that URL of the media file, and it will say "Invalid URL" when I paste it into Quicktime.

This is specifially the video I am looking to download. There is an option to watch it in a Flash player. Is there anyway I can download the .swf file of the video?
