Hi,

I have a car adapter for my 4 yr old iPod. I have a new video iPod. Everything looks alike, I use the same recharger. Should I be able to use the car adapter with the new iPod without harming the iPod??

Thanks.

Frank

Yes.

The dock connector hasn't changed, so anything made to use the dock connector will be fine on any iPod model with one.

Similar story:

I have an integrated car charger that plays my 5G iPod through my factory stereo and charges it from the car battery.

The other day my niece was in the car with me on a long trip back from a concert and she wanted to listen to her Nano.

I figured, Apple being Apple and all it should work so I plugged her into my set up and it worked beautifully. We were listening to her music through the car stereo and she got a full charge while doing so.

This was much better than had she just plugged into her headphones and ignored me for 2 hours.
