Good afternoon all đź‘‹

Currently have a nextbase duo hd dash cam. Recently it has been playing up, by not turning on when starting the car. I’m now on the look out for a new similar type dash cam.

I want an all in 1 unit

1080p front 1080p rear (or 4k if possible)

Up to ÂŁ300

Thanks for taking the time to read.

Did you find anything else?

After an incident today that likely would have been missed by my not-fully implemented plan of "Use an old iPhone and dash cam software" due to the manual steps required and general human laziness (i.e. "it's just down the street I won't bother with the dash cam"), I'm going to go the "appliance" route. I've found local suppliers for DOD dash cams - I'm currently planning to get the RC500S.

I'm often constrained by what brand(s) are available locally however in this case, BlackVue are actually available here, but it's the first few minutes of a YouTube review (which I normally don't watch at all, as I find them annoying in general; I only saw it because it was suggested after I watched a "how to install" video from the manufacturer page) of all things that strengthen the argument for the DOD to me: the other two brands he compared, BlackVue and <something else> had the predicable "cloud" features, while the DOD focused more on actual video quality.

I have zero desire to put my dash cam videos on any kind of cloud service, much less one operated by an appliance maker.
