Well the last night when I was at a movie someone broke into my car and a stereo, 60gb ipod, and camera (digital rebel xt) were stolen. I'm a photography major and Uni is starting up in about 3 days so my camera is very very important to me. I know there is not a whole lot I can do but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas/suggestions?

Never leave valuables in your car. (good lesson all around :)) I had my Manchester United jacket stolen in my SUV when I left it unattended, thinking it was safe. I had an immobilizer, alarm, and steering wheel lock but stupidly left my jacket on the passenger seat.

Dumb me! And most of the time, insurance doesn't cover car theft.

I've had various items stolen... shades, coins, stereo system, insurance papers, etc.

Call the police and report everything.. serial numbers and whatnot.

Also, contact the parking lot company and see if there are any security cameras that are present.

Good luck. :)
