I have a question on Car HUDs. Since an increasing number of cars includes HUDs (like the European, Asian and Australian Prius) I have a couple of questions about it.

Well, does the HUD appear from the outside? Because someone looking back and noticing something floating on the windscreen may look strange. And, does the HUD appear only to the driver?

If those questions are not clear enough, just point it out. ;)

The way the HUD is set-up, you can only really see it in the driver's seat. You can not really see it from the passenger seat or outside.

One thing to note is if you wear polarized sunglasses, you can't see it.

The HUD doesn't appear on the outside, if you look directly at the little projector all you will see is a little pinhole of light (if that). Certainly not noticeable to someone in front looking back at you in their rear view mirror.

As said above, only the driver can properly see all the information on it. The passenger can't really see it because the viewing angle from where they are sitting is too oblique.
