I have a Mini Cooper and with the very small and limited space, the dashboard area seems like the best alternative. I would like to avoid blocking the front windshield so I can put sun shade while parked.Don’t a lot of those also suction to the front windshield? I would think that would be an option, no?
Another issue with that… Mini Cooper has the oval air vents with very thin blades. I tried but it just too fragile.Can you get a AC vent mount? I love my Belkin!

Are these the ones that come with a plastic pry tool? If so I was about to recommend these as well (I didn't know what they were called, but I saw them in a recent YouTube video from TheStraightPipes).I’m not sure what year your Mini is, but I’ve used proclip’s dash mount on my Outlander and it’s been great. It’s a bit pricey, but no adhesive or mounting cups to deal with.
For the sake of a quick search, I used a 2015 Mini Cooper.
