Or does anyone know if this kensington quick release car mount will work with an iphone 5 with a bumper around it. specifically the sector 5 bumper.

Or can someone link me to a car mount they use for their iphone 5 with bumper.

thanks!

Yes I use one of the Kensington mounts with an iPhone 5 and a Seidio Surface Case and it works great. I liked it so well that I took just the clip part off and semi-permanently mounted it to my dash using double sided padded tape. It has been there for well over a year.

awesome thanks for posting this

how much give would you say those plastic clips give you? If your seidio case should be slightly bigger do you think it would still work properly?

I guess i will just order this mount and find out for my self thanks again

I think you will be fine. I just attached it with the holster on my case which about doubled the width.

Cool,

So just to update the sector 5 case with iphone 5 does fit in this thing. . Although it is possible to snap it in with one hand.. It takes two hands to get it on there quickly.. Same to remove.

This is a very universal mount. I would probably recommend this mount to anyone using any kind of bumper or case with their iphone.

I can't recommend the Bracketron Cradle-It enough. I just used it for a week on vacation as a GPS, holds the iPhone 5 in the bumper perfectly, very lightweight, only $12 on Amazon.

This is the ONLY mount I've found that does not have any extra plastic "arms" or such hanging over the front which looks ugly and obstructs your view. You slide the iPhone + bumper (or any case for that matter) into its grooves and that's it. No fugly gripper stuff jutting out. It's got a bit of 'give' so it opens enough to get the iPhone and a case in there.

Two added bonuses:

1. The suction cup is a new design that sucks on anything, even uneven crinkle-finish dashboards.

2. It uses the universal ball-joint so if you have an older mount (like for a vent or an extended arm) it'll work with that too.
