I am loooking to buy a power inverter or adapter so we can use our iBook on our long trips in our car...any suggestions of good brands?

I got one of those adapters. It screwed up my battery on my old Acer. According to my dad it had something to do with AC/DC. The battery just could'nt handle it, and dropped to about 30 min battery life. So my advice to you would be as follows.

Check with apple before you plug your Mac into one of these things. Might hurt your battery.

What he said ^^^ make sure you check with Apple first. The Power that comes out of your car or out of those cheap converters is pretty dirty and most the time not consistant.

There are inverters that have a consitant output but for that price your better off buying a new battery for your iBook.
