Apparently you can continue using the old version for free but no new updates unless you pay. The old version is not certified with Mountain Lion. $39, although it's on sale for $29 until August 12th.
I've been really happy with CCC but the price is just a bit high for what it does. SuperDuper is still free for the basic version and it is certified for ML. I'm making the switch.
