As of right now, my internal HD on my MBP has just over 120gb of data.

I'm currently cloning my MBP's HD to my new 320gb HD using Carbon Copy Cloner.

Is it normal that Carbon Copy Cloner does not copy the full 120gb of data on my HD?

As of right now, CCC is around 50% done cloning my HD and has only copied 30 gb of data.

Why is the amount being cloned so small in comparison to what is actually on my HD? I was under the impression that CCC copies absolutely everything, so all I have to do is clone my old drive to my new one and pop it in and it will be exactly the same as my current set up.

Has it completed yet, and did it copy everything?

The 50% complete mark might be that it's copied 50% of the number of files found, not 50% of the size to be copied.

If it hasn't, let it finish then see if you have a problem.

I'll let it finish and then re post, but as of right now it says data copied: 39.00gb and it looks to be about 90% complete.:confused::confused:
