I just copied my hard drive to a new partition as to defragment my hard drive. I erased the old partition and renamed my new partition the same as the old one. My time machine backups now are all greyed out except for random ones. Backups which never happened are there, but not inside the sparse bundle. When I tried to backup, It thought all of my files were new and proceeded to attempt to backup 41 gb of files. I need the ability to access many of my old files. Does anyone know how to tell Time Machine my files are the same or know how to manually restore files from the sparsebundle without using time machine?
Thanks
