Hello,
I have been a long time forum browser, did not bother the time to register until now, the question that really boggles my mind is that, is a carbon fibre case worth all that money? I have been looking for a case for about 2months after I got my iphone 4, and stumbled upon carbon fibre cases and was wondering if getting one is worth the money. If so, I was planning on getting this from M-Tech Deisgns .

If carbon fibre is not worth the money, is there any other case suggestions other than the SGP cases because i do not like the backing of the cases

Only if you need the finish of real carbon fiber.

Because at that thickness, carbon fiber will provide no advantage over polycarbonate. In fact it will deform and not going to back to the original shape after a drop. Plus there is a chance of getting a bad fitting case.

CF itself has a beautiful surface, but the iphone cases in the market are not that impressing.

really depends on where you get it. I have a carbon fiber case for my 3gs and its prolly as sturdy as any other (maybe about 0.4-0.5 mm). also in terms of looks its actually one of the most beautiful materials a case can be made of (again if made properly, and it depends on how many twill they use). In the light it looks fantastic. Anyways, this case looks like its worth more than any aluminum bumper lol! Oh yeah, my case has held up pretty good. scratches on the gloss finish can barely be seen unless you try and look for them. I'd say go for it if the keyhole camera design isnt an issue for flash.

Long story short: IMO definitely worth it.

Carbon fibre is nice but the really popular materials used by major companies are TPU, PC and silicone. :)

Carbon fibre is light but brittle so the case might be rendered useless after one good drop. IMHO, not worthed it.

I think carbon has to be combined with other materials just the way ion factory has done the stealth predator case ... that is carbon chrome in perfection. plain carbon, not a big fan myself ...

Well , i decided to go with moncarbone and thanks for the input guys! much appeciated

Nahhh, ive dropped mine plenty a times. Good as new save for a few light scratches.

OP, trust me I actually dealt with carbon fiber lol. As long as the keyhole produces no problems with the flash, then it comes down to whether you like it or not and if it's worth that much to you. Honestly if you see it in real life you'll prolly love it... I don't see how you can hate on carbon fiber.

Just look up "Aazzo Real Carbon Fiber iPhone Case Hardness Test " on youtube. That's not the case I have, mines even thicker than that. And the M-tech for iphone 4 is much thicker too I believe. Thers also a fire test lol unnesecary but kinda cool.

well, ill show you guys the pictures when i receive it and take photos with it to see if CF affects the camera at all

Well the postman left me a V-Day gift in the mailbox today, my M-Tech Carbon case.

Its stunning. The carbon work is perfect. It adds almost no weight to the phone. It still fits into my Griffen PowerDock, something most cases prevent.

Was it worth $130. Hard to say. I see myself keeping this on longer then some of my cases have I've owned

Ill report back after a few days of use with more thoughts.

I want the m tech carbon fiber i will buy it i hust sold mi atomic cases to buy one or other carbon fiber case
